Garcia attended Texas Christain University after graduating from high school, for a period of three years, before moving to University of Texas. In the course of her decades, her competitive streak grew stronger. Angela Akin Garcia, despite having found joy and fulfillment as a professional golfer, has never dreamed of pursuing the career. She instead opted to study the field of journalism. Following her graduation, she got a job at Fox Sports Southwest as a journalist.
